Bougainvillea Estate Wedding

I just knew the moment I met Leslie that this wedding was going to be loads of fun, full of personality, and most of all love! Leslie was the most organized bride I’ve ever met. She had spreadsheets for everything! LOL! She had all her vendors selected by the time she contacted me and needed someone to take the reigns and ensure that her friends and family could relax and have an amazing time celebrating with her and her fiancé  Carlos. Before we even signed the contract she was showing me pictures of her beautiful custom engagement ring and her Badgley Mischka dress! I was so excited I couldn’t wait to get started. And to top it all off… she was having a Bougainvillea Estate wedding in Indio!

On our first visit for their wedding at the Bougainvillea Estate, I was totally in love! When you arrive, a large gate opens up to this beautiful, very long, tree-lined driveway with green grass on either side that leads to a beautiful courtyard with a fountain in the middle. To right is a large pond that is landscaped beautifully off the front patio area where the guests would make their way after the ceremony for cocktail hour. And the best part…. the beautiful pool with wraparound seating for the reception space! It couldn’t be more perfect! With market lights and tons of space, their 180 guests had an amazing weekend getaway. The Bougainvillea Estate also has rooms that your guests can stay in over the weekend, a large kitchen for your catering team, a game room, a dining and lounge space all beautifully decorated.

Leslie and her grandma had a very special relationship, but unfortunately, she passed away before Leslie got engaged. They had a shared love of the moon and all that it represents and Leslie wanted to incorporate that into her wedding in remembrance of her grandma. She specifically picked their wedding day on a night when there was going to be a full moon. So while we were only contracted for her Wedding Management Service, I had to connect her with the lovely Jasmin Michelle Designs for something that would be truly special. Jasmin created a custom seating chart in acrylic that showed the different phases of the moon with the phrase “the ones who have been there through all of our phases”.

Leslie had great taste. She wanted to keep the decor simple and elegant with lots of white and dried florals, and palms and Walden Floral knocked it out of the park with their designs and everyone was loving the #lesandlos vibe! Her Badgley Mischka gown fit her like a glove as she channeled Kim Kardashian vibes with her hair styled by Sitting Pretty Beauty Lounge. They also had one heck of a wedding party! 10 girls and 10 guys on each side completed Carlos and Leslie’s crew. These guys and girls really made this wedding complete. From touching speeches, Vogue-style poses, and so much love for the couple- it was truly epic.

There were some great personal touches sprinkled throughout the wedding. First, the Bride rode in with her dad down the long tree-lined driveway in a golf cart! Such a fun entrance! She then of course got out when they reached the grass, but it was great to get on camera! See their video by Grimace Films here! Their officiant was a long-time family friend which made it extra special. The groomsmen were fitted in tuxes from The Black Tux and “huaraches” and every guest received a hand-painted and glazed mini “cantarito” as a favor for toasting with later. Cocktail hour was filled with a 9 piece mariachi band and their love for all things 70’s was sprinkled in the fonts for all their day-of stationery. As a fun nod to their love for “Friends”, the signs on their chair said “Regina Phalange” and “Ken Adams.” She also had fur robes for all her girls to wear later in the evening and their wedding wouldn’t be complete without a “Toga” after party!”

Dinner was served family-style by First Class Catering and Dart Collective kicked off the dance party with their retro turntable! These guys really know how to get everyone excited on the dance floor and even mixed it up with some classic old-school records! It was an amazing and stunning night captured by Nicole Lever Photography and I can’t wait to come back here! It was an absolute desert oasis!
